How do these programs differ from standard courses?

Standard courses teach concepts. These programs show you the exact process experienced writers use when solving specific problems. You watch them work through real examples, then apply the same technique to your script.

What happens during a program session?

The instructor demonstrates a technique using a current screenplay example. They explain the reasoning behind each decision, show alternative approaches, and point out common mistakes. Then you apply the method to a scene from your own work. Sessions run between 90 minutes and two hours, depending on the complexity of the technique being demonstrated.

Each program includes multiple sessions that build on each other. The first session introduces the core principle, subsequent sessions explore variations and edge cases. You work on the same script throughout, so you can see how different techniques combine to strengthen your writing.
